Due to the extremely high demand for visa application appointments, which significantly exceeds the available appointments, from June 2024, appointments will be scheduled through a new procedure on our website rtkosovo.com. All citizens of the Republic of Kosovo over 18 years of age who are ready with all the documents required by the embassy will be eligible to apply.
In case of no-show for the appointment with the required file, applicants will be penalized and will lose the right to apply for a period of 12 to 18 months. All applicants will be listed at the embassy. After verification, they will be notified by email of the date and time of their appointment.

Western Balkans Regulation
With the so-called "Western Balkans Regulation" (Article 26, Paragraph 2 of the Employment Ordinance - BeschV), the government of the Federal Republic of Germany has enabled privileged access to the German labor market for citizens from Kosovo (as well as from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia). This regulation continuously applies to all types of employment, regardless of recognized qualifications. A prerequisite for issuing a visa for this purpose remains the approval of the Federal Employment Agency.
From June 1, 2024, you can significantly expedite your visa application process by obtaining prior approval: for this purpose, your future employer will apply for the issuance of approval from the Federal Employment Agency before you receive the date/time of your visa application. Once your future employer has obtained prior approval from the Federal Employment Agency, you can make an online reservation at www.rtkosovo.com and apply for a visa by presenting your prior approval. This eliminates the lottery process, and you will receive the date/time of your visa application from the external service provider within a few weeks. The last draw for June 2024 dates will take place in May. The provision of dates/times according to the new procedure will be activated soon.
Pay attention to the accuracy of your data
Please be careful when applying for an appointment through Rtkosovo that your personal data, email address, and phone number are accurate. A later change of data is not possible.

Here you can register for an appointment from June 2024 to submit a visa application according to § 26 II Western Balkans Regulation. Due to the very high demand for appointments, which significantly exceeds the available appointments, appointments will be given on a monthly basis by scheduling an appointment online at www.rtkosovo.com
Multiple registrations are excluded. Subsequent changes to the data during registration are not possible. Entry, even if the appointment confirmation is available, is only allowed if the personal data in the applicant's passport fully match the data entered during registration. Transferring an appointment to another person is not allowed. The engagement of third parties (e.g., agencies) is not necessary and does not bring any advantage.
Please register for the procedure yourself and calmly and make sure to enter accurate data. Appointments cannot be postponed and your application can only be accepted if you appear at the appointment with complete documentation.
Appointments for visa applications according to the "Western Balkans Regulation" can only be made in this way. The embassy does not provide individual appointments, so please refrain from relevant inquiries.
